2015 EARA-SRA Summer School (May 2015)
Training for selected Junior Scholars occurred during a one-week intensive training and professional development period, organized by the European Society for Research on Adolescence and the Society for Research on Adolescence. Funding provided by the Jacobs Foundation. Training focused on the study of adolescence and adolescent development through various methodological orientations and psychological perspectives (e.g., developmental psychology, counseling psychology, school psychology, etc.). Junior scholars participated in research presentations made by senior scholars, presented research projects, and received advisement and critical feedback from senior scholars and peers. 2014 ICPSR Summer Program (July 2014)
Designing, Conducting, and Analyzing Field Experiments. Training provided on (1) Explaining why experiments are valuable tools for social science and program evaluation; (2) Examining in-depth examples of how field experiments are designed, executed, and analyzed; and (3) Exploring and develop research ideas through discussion with peers and specialists.

Association for Institutional Research National Data Institute: Using Federal Data to Support Research on Science, Engineering, and Postsecondary Education (NSF & NCES funded). Training included the following: (a) overview of NSF databases; (b) overview of NCES databases; (c) demonstrations and exercises using specific datasets; (d) technical issues using national datasets and tools; (e) data confidentiality; (f) applying for a restricted use license; and (g) data policy seminars. American Psychological Association Advanced Training Institute on Research Methods with Diverse Racial and Ethnic Groups. Training included the following: (a) archival research and secondary data analysis with culturally diverse populations; (b) qualitative research methods with racial and ethnic minority groups; (c) evaluating measurement equivalence of research measures; (d) capturing culture and context in community research; (e) integrating social class measurement into racial and ethnic minority psychology research; (f) aging research with diverse racial and ethnic groups; (g) genomic research in ethnic minority communities; and (h) methodologies for investigating treatment outcomes with culturally diverse populations.
